Christian is a happy, energetic 10 year old boy who loves spending time with his family and exploring his environment. At age 4, Christian was diagnosed with a rare genetic deletion where a large chunk of DNA is missing from his 5th chromosome (5q31.3q32.) Due to the physical and developmental delays associated with this condition, Christian has never been able to ride a bicycle with his parents, friends or siblings. After years of building his strength and balance, Christian finally has the skills and ability to pedal an adaptive tricycle. Winning a tricycle would give Christian the ability to independently explore the great outdoors while on bike rides with his family. He does have the motor function to ride a tricycle, however due to his size and age, he is too big to ride the common, affordable tricycles sold in stores.
