Christian is a happy, energetic 10 year old boy who loves spending time with his family and exploring his environment. At age 4, Christian was diagnosed with a rare genetic deletion where a large chunk of DNA is missing from his 5th chromosome (5q31.3q32.) Due to the physical and developmental delays associated with this condition, Christian has never been able to ride a bicycle with his parents, friends or siblings. After years of building his strength and balance, Christian finally has the skills and ability to pedal an adaptive tricycle. Winning a tricycle would give Christian the ability to independently explore the great outdoors while on bike rides with his family. We believe riding a bike is a special rite of passage every child deserves to experience. Thank you for taking the time to vote for Christian and helping to make his dream come true. Your support is very much appreciated!
At age 4, Christian was diagnosed with a rare genetic deletion where a large chunk of dna is missing from his 5th chromosome (5q31.31q32.) Due to the developmental delays associated with this condition, Christian has never been able to ride bicycles with his peers and siblings. He does have the motor function to ride a tricycle, however due to his size and age, he is too big to ride the common, affordable tricycles sold in stores.
