August is a spunky nonverbal fella with not only autism that has caused learning delays and cognitive delays but he also has an extremely rare form of dystonia that only 40 people have been studied to have. It affects his muscular movements in his hands, legs and feet. It’s a progressive genetic disease that there is no cure for only treating symptoms. He is not able to ride a normal bike because of his dystonia related issues and cognitive issues from his autism.
