Last year Hunter was able to get his own adaptive bicycle through the Great Bike Giveaway and is loving it so much....not to mention we can't wait for Spring just around the corner to cruise around the neighborhood in these wheels again in a few quick weeks. The freedom, the confidence and convenience of being able to ride his own bike around is more than we ever could have imagined for our sweet guy. We even brought his bike to Minnesota for our annual family fishing vacation. It has provided so much exercise for his little legs and he has increased his endurance too.
This year we are looking for an adaptive stroller to make cruising around on different terrains an easier comfort for Hunter to visit local favorites - where sometimes his wheelchair just isn't as comfortable for him we have found it gets stuck in grooves, kicks up gravel, nearly impossible on sand and will limit the bumps he will feel, maybe even go for some jogs around the neighborhood with his Auntie Jessica!
With Hunter's height of nearly 4 feet tall already at age 5 there is not a standard stroller that works well for him, he has outgrown all standard strollers. This Josi stroller will create a smooth ride for him when we frequent the zoo, visit the Chicago Botanic Gardens, visit parks, trips to Lamb’s Farm, the beach and our almost daily trips all summer long to the pool.
These pieces of equipment are so much more than just transportation for Hunter they have become a way of life, they are his legs to get from one place to another and having comfort to do so to make him more comfortable.

Hunter could use this bike to get around on our daily walks, trips to the zoo, beach time, and botanic gardens. This bike will help him get through rough terrain better than other modes of transportation we currently have.
