Maya's Syndrome causes her to have a significant delay in her gross motor skills. Due to her lack of endurance and coodination, she struggles greatly to walk and cannot ride a bike. However, at school she is able to ride the Rifton Adapted tricycle for up to 40 minutes and she loves it! We would love nothing more than for Maya to enjoy going for a fun bike ride outside! Our hope is that by giving Maya the means to exercise, she could become more able bodied overall.
