Lennon is a vivacious 8 year old boy with a BIG fun-loving personality! He enjoys being outdoors and has a strong yearning to play with other children. A bike would help Lennon to be included in outdoor fun with neighbors, friends, and family.
Lennon’s primary diagnosis is an ultra rare genetic syndrome called KBG Syndrome in addition to having 4 other genetic diagnoses that make him the only case in the world! Lennon’s diagnoses include Epilepsy, hydrocephalus, Autism, Intellectual disability, Global developmental delay, hypotonia (low muscle tone), primary carnitine deficiency, and tethered cord syndrome among many others that all contribute to hindering his ability to safely and effectively ride a typical bicycle. Lennon also had major spinal cord surgery for a spinal cord tumor and tethered cord resulting in permanent nerve damage and loss of lower extremity reflexes. Despite innumerable challenges throughout his entire life, he continues to persevere and overcome with the biggest smile on his face! At the end of the day he’s just a little boy who wants to play!
